"We chose custom design for our salon because of the challenges we had being in a small space. I had tried another company who ended up basically just rearranging what I already had. I didn't like their results, because I wanted my salon to look different. When I went to Inner-Salon, I told them what I wanted, and instead of them telling me 'this is what we have, so this is what you can get', they were able to make what I wanted.

I found working with their salon designer very helpful, because I had an idea of what I liked and didn't like from my experience working in a salon and they were able to design fixtures and cabinets that addressed those issues. For example, I always had a problem with cords not being long enough when they were plugged in, so they designed a cabinet and implement panel that created extra space.

I've gotten really good feedback from people who've come into the salon. Nothing had been done to it for about 20 years; we've totally changed how it looked. We've made the space seem a lot bigger and much more useable.

I had a direction in mind for the colors; we really modernized it a lot. I wanted it to appeal to male and female clientele and to a variety of age groups. I also didn't want the look to be so trendy that people could pinpoint exactly what year we remodeled. The designer was really helpful in choosing color that would have long-lasting appeal and helped me to put it all together.

I have recommend Inner-Salon to others, in fact, I've had people ask about getting pieces for their own homes. For example, I hate magazines lying around everywhere and had a special magazine table made. When people ask me how I did that, I tell them 'I thought of the idea and they [Inner-Salon] made it work.'
