"Originally, we choose custom design [furnishings, fixtures and cabinetry] for our salon because we didn't want anyone else's look. We couldn't have gotten the same results working without a salon designer. We were working with architects who were designing the building, and the people from Inner-Salon added a great deal of knowledge about how the furniture fit into that space.

We also couldn't have gotten the same results with a local supplier. We started the design process with a local designer and our architects. When we began working with Inner-Salon, they were able to expand and improved upon our ideas for the interior design of the salon, where the local supplier was not.

Working with an out-of-town company was not a big concern for us. We conducted a lot of the process through e-mail and faxing, which we would have done locally anyhow. Also, Inner-Salon continually sent us digital photographs so that we could see everything [furnishings, cabinetry and fixtures] before it arrived.

Because we spent fully a year in the design process, I think we got what we asked for [in terms of quality furnishings and equipment]. We're pleased with the outcome because we took so much time to think through every little detail before it was built.

The atmosphere in our salon has a homey feel. I think the customers immediately feel like the team members are family members. And the feel, the warmth of the colors, the layout is a little bit more like home. The feedback we've received people who've come to our salon has been fabulous. A lot of thought went into it and it shows.

I would definitely recommend Inner-Salon to others. I think you need to put the money into good, quality design - designs that nobody else has. Why go with average when you can get something unique?"
